Character Name: James Bishop/Bishop
Character Journal: time_cop_bishop
Physical Description: James is a six foot and two inches tall with short black hair and brown eyes, and he has a scar on his left bicep. He is built like a linebacker that is unable to relax at any point, which goes double for when he is smiling at someone. His clothing is that of a soldier that is involved in intense combat situations. He wears a full body suit made of a material that is resistant to tear and intense temperatures, and it has metallic shoulder pads attached to it. He also has a pair of metal combat boots and gauntlets as well as a belt that has various items in it. He also carries an energy rifle that he believes was his father's.
Age: 22
DOB: March 14, 1990
PB: Michael B. Jordan

Character Location/Home: New York City, Earth 14423
Alignment: Hero (Possibly SHIELD or one of the other hero teams)
Relatives: Lucas Bishop (Father, dead); Deathbird (Mother, dead); Shard (aunt, deceased); Aliyah Bishop (sister, alive), Lilandra (aunt, dead)

Abilities: Mutation: Like his father, James has the ability to absorb various types of energy that make contact with his body. He can either release the energy in a bio-kinetic concussive blast or in the same form that his body absorbed it as with about twice the force or power behind it. If he chooses to store, James can use it to enhance his strength, speed, stamina, endurance and healing by using it to charge him. Each one would be increased by a factor of two, so if he were able to lift three hundred pounds before than he would be able to lift six hundred pounds after using the stored energy.

Combat: James has been extensively trained in hand to hand combat that he can go toe to toe with some of the most skilled fighters on the planet without a weapon in his hand. He is also trained in knife fighting, but it isn’t something that he likes to use in his time period.

Marksman: His ability with a weapon is above average for someone his age, and he can accurately line up a target and hit the exact spot on it that he wants to without having to fire a reference shot. His weapon of choice is an energy rifle of his father's design that can be powered by channeling energy into it from his own stores.

Berserker: The only thing that he inherited from his mother was her ability to go into a berserk mode where his endurance and fighting skills are improved greatly, but he acts on pure instinct in this mode and it only can be done once a day. Afterward, he is extremely tired and needs to rest

Weaknesses and Flaws: Mutation: His body can only take so much energy being put into it before he needs to let it out, but he isn’t sure how much he can hold in before he literally self-destructs all over the place. He does know that after five minutes of continuous blasts from multiple people does cause his body to go into spasms that releases waves of energy outward that will hit anything close to him.

If he were to self-destruct, James assumed that it would be equivalent to dropping a bomb in the middle of the city, and the energy wave would be concussive in nature so anything hit by it would either break or be knocked back.

His powers don’t protect him from telepathy, being hit with a blunt force object or a bladed weapon or being shot with a normal bullet. His body also cannot absorb magical or psychic energy when it is used on him, and he has a limited amount of space in his body for intense radiation type of energy.

Personality: James is someone who can be very blunt with people as he never learned how to sugarcoat things so that people didn’t feel bad, so don’t ever ask him if a particular outfit makes you look fat. He has a serious demeanor and a strong work ethic, but he can get tunnel vision on ridding the world of evil like the ones who killed his parents. Once he sets his eyes on a target, James won’t stop until he brings that target down or someone gives him some concrete evidence to alter his line of thinking, and even then he won’t completely get over the idea of the first person being the bad guy.

His eyes are always scanning over people as he tries to pick up on any habits that reveal something about a person, and on occasion James has been known to make connections that aren’t there. Regardless, his heart is always in the right place, and he is extremely loyal to those that he has aligned himself with. James will put himself in harms way to protect a friend, and he won’t hold back if someone does attack them. He holds grudges against people for a long time and will refuse to work with them unless the entire world is at stake.

Backstory: On the world that James is from, Earth was successfullly invaded by the Skrulls after they had successfully conquered the Shi’ar empire, but through the midst of the chaos Lucas Bishop and Cal'syee Neramani fell in love after she escaped the chaos that destroyed her family and came to Earth. The two of them were members of a resistance made up of the heroes and villains of the planet to push the Skrulls off the planet, and while doing this the two of them had a set of twins named Aliyah and James who they cherished above all else and would do anything to protect them.

The twins were raised with other children in a protected section of the Savage Land, where the Earth’s last hope for survival resided. As they grew older, they were taught many things that were within the common curriculum and some things that weren’t so common, and like all those who came of age in this dimension they were given the choice between staying back or joining the fight. Both of them chose to join the army that their parents were a part of, and they began to fight against all odds to save their planet. The war was a tough one that cost them the lives of both parents and their aunt Shard, and it looked like there was no hope for a better future.

Then a few of the remaining geniuses of Earth came up with a way to send someone back in time to warn both the heroes of Earth and the Shi’ar of the invasion before it happened in an effort to change what happened, but it required a machine that was locked away in a vault of Doctor Doom’s in Latveria. A group was formed to escort the brain trust to it that Aliyah and James were a part of, and after infilitrating the castle a battle was formed that ended with the portal being created to what they believed was the past. James shoved his sister through first with a pendant of his mother’s, but when he was about to enter after her an explosion damaged the machine and fatally injured the man who was running it. With nowhere else to run, James jumped through the portal to what he hoped was the past.

Plans: My plan is to have James meet up with either the Avengers or SHIELD and try to warn them about the Skrull Invasion only to realize it isn’t happening, and then have him find a place among the heroes of this world since he has no way of going back
Sample Post: The walls started to shake as the sounds of the battle outside the doors could be heard, and James didn’t know if they were going to have enough time for this game. “We don’t have much time left, McCoy, so if we are going to do this then it needs to be now.” His patience was growing thin, and the gun in his hand was starting to shake. He hated how his nerves kicked in right before a firefight.

“Relax, little brother. The good doctor is doing the best that he can,” said Aliyah.

His sister was right, but there would time for apologies after they got the job done. For now, the blue furball needed to do better so that the sacrifices being made by those outside of the room weren’t being wasted.

“And there we have it,” said the man known as Beast right before the machine came alive.

The portal looked like a spinning vortex of energy that didn’t look too inviting for the young Bishop’s taste, but this is what they were there for. “You sure this is going to work?” A quick nod from one of the last remaining X-Men was all that James needed, and he grabbed his sister by her arm and shoved her through. “Good luck!”

Whatever she was going to say to him was lost as she disappeared, and then James started to move toward it himself, but an explosion brought down the wall to his right. Picking himself up off the ground, the young man opened fired into the hole to keep any that tried to enter through it back, and then he saw McCoy lying there.

“Run, boy.”

The request of a dying man that he wished that he could fulfill, but there weren’t too many places left to run. There was the hole with the enemy through it and the door that held unknown dangers behind it, which left him with the portal. It looked unstable with the machine damaged, but it still seemed better than the alternative.

“Here goes nothing,” he muttered as he ran through the portal.
